Compliance Lifeline • February 2025

We’ve been rather quiet in the last month because we’ve been working behind the scenes on our new website, which we’ve launched this week, just in time to herald the arrival of Spring!

We wanted to make it clear with the new website all the ways in which Enderley support law firms (and now accountancy practices too!) with a wide-range of services. The new website also incorporates our new brand which represents a move to a more modern and contemporary feel, in keeping with the new site. Please do take a look – we hope you like it!

The website has been designed by the wonderful Cara from Lark Marketing, who has supported Enderley with social media, website management and SEO services for some time.  Cara’s background lies in professional services – both from an advisory and marketing perspective –  and we’re delighted that we can now offer her marketing and website services to law firms through Enderley.

We’re also pleased to welcome Valerie Dickson to the team as a Compliance Consultant. Most recently Valerie has held a senior compliance position at Citibank and has specialist qualifications in AML and sanctions. Her experience of FCA regulation is already proving valuable to law firms seeking dual SRA and FCA authorisation, and will also strengthen our offering to accountancy practices.

And finally...

Regular readers will recall that we frequently cover data protection issues in the Lifeline, particularly with respect to their impact on solicitors. There isn’t anything relevant to report this month. But on 31 January the ICO held that the ICO (yes, the self-same regulator) breached the Freedom of Information Act by failing to reply within the statutory timescales. Yes, even the Great and the Good get it wrong sometimes!
