Compliance Lifeline • September 2025

Yes, we know – drawing parallels between autumn and regulatory change is perhaps the most predictable seasonal metaphor in newsletter history. But while we may be guilty of embracing a bit of autumnal cliché here, we’re entirely serious about the compliance content that follows. This month’s newsletter arrives at a time when vigilance and adaptation remain more crucial than ever for legal practices.

Our September edition brings you five essential updates that reflect the SRA’s continued focus on risk management and professional standards. These articles should give you a good grounding of knowledge to navigate an increasingly complex compliance environment and – in the eyes of the SRA at least – be as good as gold.

On a more pleasant note, we’re particularly pleased to introduce you to Gavin Ball, our new compliance consultant, whose expertise will strengthen our ability to support your firm’s regulatory requirements. His addition to our team comes at an opportune time as we see heightened scrutiny across multiple areas of practice.

As we move deeper into autumn, we encourage you to use these insights to conduct your own seasonal review of compliance procedures, ensuring your firm remains well-positioned for the challenges ahead.

As always don’t hesitate to drop us a message or pick up the phone to any of  us – we’re non-judgmental and we do understand that regulatory burden can simply become just too overwhelming.

We’re here to help.
