Misha Wallis & Co Solicitors
We recently spoke with Glenn Wallis, one of the principals at Blackburn-based Misha Wallis & Co Solicitors, about his experience working with Enderley Consulting.
Glenn oversees both the day-to-day running of the firm and client work, and as a Chartered Legal Executive and qualified civil mediator, he also plays a key role in the firm’s mediation services alongside their private client and conveyancing work. Like many smaller law firms, responsibility for compliance ultimately rests with the principals, so having trusted support in place has been essential.
Can you give some background into Misha Wallis & Co?
Misha Wallis & Co Solicitors is a four-year-old, SRA-authorised law firm with a strong focus on private client work, including lasting powers of attorney, residential and commercial conveyancing, and mediation. The firm also holds Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) accreditation.
From the outset, Misha Wallis has been very clear about the type of firm it wants to be. The team prides itself on excellent customer service, transparency, and honesty. Most of its work comes through personal recommendation – a true reflection of the firm’s focus on trust.
The firm does not “sell” to clients. Instead, it takes time to understand their objectives first and then tailors advice accordingly, rather than rushing into engagements with a view to maximising billable time. This approach underpins everything the firm does.
How long have you used the services of Anne and Ed?
We’ve worked with Ann and Ed for around two years ow.
What services do Enderley provide to Misha Wallis?
Enderley Consulting has supported us across a number of key compliance areas. They’ve helped us with our CQS accreditation, carried out an AML audit and subsequent re-audit, completed a firm-wide risk assessment, and they also provide our AML training.
Their support isn’t piecemeal – it feels joined-up and considered, which has been really important for us as a growing firm.
What impact has Enderley’s work had on your firm day to day?
The biggest impact has been peace of mind.
Before working with Enderley, compliance always felt like something to be feared – a necessary evil where you’re constantly worried about getting something wrong. Anne and Ed completely changed that for us.
They helped us refine our client onboarding process from an AML perspective, which has made things clearer, more consistent and far more robust. Compliance now feels embedded in how we work, rather than something separate or reactive.
Day to day, we feel more confident in our systems and processes, and that removes a lot of underlying stress.
Is there anything that makes Anne and Ed stand out from other legal compliance advisers?
Absolutely. They are a breath of fresh air.
Their approach is holistic and very human. They’re down to earth, they don’t look down their noses at you, and they’re never condescending or judgemental – which is incredibly reassuring when dealing with the complexities of compliance. At the same time, they are fair and firm when they need to be, and you trust their judgement completely.
They take the time to understand the firm, how it operates, and what you’re trying to achieve, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all solution.
What would you say to another firm considering Enderley Consulting?
I’d say: go and have a chat with them.
They’re very open and welcoming, and there’s no fear of judgement when you speak to them. You don’t feel like you’re going to be told off or made to feel uncomfortable for asking questions.
I would whole-heartedly recommend them to any firm that wants to get compliance right without feeling overwhelmed or intimidated by it.
Anything else?
What really resonates with me is that Enderley’s values align closely with our own. Their transparent, honest, and tailored approach mirrors how we work with our clients, and that makes the relationship feel like a genuine partnership rather than a transactional adviser-client arrangement.
